use
It is a plant widely used in traditional medicine for
many indications. Fruits are used to prepare a drink
fermented. The barks are used as anti-dysenteric and
leaves and roots as antivenoms in the same way as Securidaca long pedunculate roots. The leaves in powder, infusion or decoction treat diabetes and hypertension.
Description
It is a tree 8 to 10 meters high with a straight cylindrical bole. The leaves were composed of imparipinnate. The flowers are clustered in spikes at the end of the twigs and the fruits are pale yellow drupes.
Direction of use
--Diabetes and hypertension.
Prepare a decoction of 30 grams of leaves for a
liter of water and drink during the day. Monitor blood sugar. We also use powder from the dried leaves in the shade.
- The powder from the dry leaves is convenient and can be used as a food supplement. A teaspoonful, 2 to 3 times a day.
NB: Leaves can easily be obtained in RCI, Mali, Senegal, and Burkina Faso.
